The storm system that brought rough weather to Maryland Thursday morning has moved out of our immediate region. However, this storm will continue to have an impact on our forecast as we close out the workweek.
High tides, gusty winds and chillier weather are expected Friday.
Cooler air is blowing into Maryland Thursday night
Thursday morning's soaking rains have helped put a dent in the ongoing drought. More than an inch of rain fell across much of central Maryland. A few neighborhoods recorded nearly 3 inches of rain.
Temperatures quickly cool into the 40s and 50s after sunset. While warm this afternoon, it'll feel much chillier as the evening progresses. A breeze will continue past sunset and is forecast to increase during the early hours of Thursday morning.
