THIS EVENING, TONIGHT...
Our *First Alert Weather Day* continues as an area of low pressure passing to our west has led to a windswept rain to develop across CT. The wind has been increasing, too, with gusts around 45 mph being measured along the shoreline. Fortunately, the risk for sporadic tree damage and outages is low (especially since leaf drop is underway). We expect the heaviest rain during the evening, so use caution on the roads if traveling. We’ll be monitoring for the threat of poor drainage or even flash flooding in low-lying areas that receive repeated downpours.
