Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte candidates running for election to council will gather for an all-candidates’ meeting before members head to the polls Dec. 6 election day in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Election officials have scheduled the all-candidates’ meeting for Nov. 24 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mohawk Community Centre.
For those unable to attend, the event will be live-streamed on the MBQ YouTube Channel.
To keep the meeting moving forward in a timely manner, strict rules will be observed by candidates.
“This is not a forum for debate. This is not a forum for exercising a show of political support,” said organizers. “Each candidate has eight minutes for an opening statement and to share their election platform.”
