DIERKS, Ark. -Dierks High School in western Arkansas was announced Thursday as the winner of a $1 million prize in a T-Mobile competition.
T-Mobile released a video announcing the school as the winner of the Friday Night 5G Lights competition.
As the winner, the school will receive a homefield upgrade, Gronk Fitness weight room, 2026 tailgate and a trip to the SEC Championship.
Out of more than $2,000 schools that applied to be in the competition, Dierks High School was the only Arkansas school that made it to the top 25. The school received nearly 2 million votes, earning the top spot.
In the competition, 450 schools won $5,000 and 25 schools won $25,000.
