NEW YORK (PIX11) -- SNAP benefits are set to run out on Saturday as a result of the ongoing government shutdown, but to help New Yorkers navigate the impending food emergency, the state has launched a website to find resources.

The portal, launched by New York Governor Kathy Hochul, directs New Yorkers on where to find local food banks and pantries as well as benefits, assistance programs, and services for working families. Click here to see the list of services.

"I’m declaring a state of emergency and am committing additional state funds for emergency food assistance to ensure New Yorkers don’t go hungry," Hochul said on Thursday.
