After starting the year with two home meets that saw the team win both of them, the Emporia High Unified Bowling team seems to have hit its first bump in the road. The team travelled up to Jayhawk Country in Lawrence to compete in the third meet of the year. It would be the first event where none of the Spartan squads would finish on the podium, but it is early in the year, so there is time to correct course.
At the meet, the Emporia Red team would finish the highest of the Emporia teams with a fifth-place finish with a score of 614. The Emporia Black team would get ninth place with a score of 526.
