LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Today, kids at Burley Primary in Lufkin took a special field trip—one around the sun.
This was all thanks to a mobile planetarium show, right in their own library.
Yaneth Clifton, Burley’s principal, says that interactive science resources like these are extremely important for their students and have a significant impact.
“It’s such a neat way, and it’s a different way than everything that they’ve seen, like it’s not a YouTube video, but they actually feel like they’re seeing it. So, you hear the oohs and aahs because they are excited to see it up close and personal,” Clifton said.
Some kindergarten students had favorite parts of the show.
“I like the Earth because it was huge,” one said.
And favorite planets.
“I liked the Jupiter,” another said.
