CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A sewer main collapse has closed a road in Cape Girardeau.

According to the city, a sanitary sewer main collapsed on Hawthorne Road near Shadow Wood Lane on Thursday morning, October 30.

The city said the collapse has caused Hawthorne Road to close until further notice.

The cause of the collapse is not clear.
