A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in an alleged hit-and-run crash last night. The incident involved two vehicles on Wolseley Road, Plymouth, shortly before 6pm on Wednesday (October 29).

The crash happened near Shirley's Fish and Chip shop. It involved a motorcycle and a small red car.

It was reported to Devon and Cornwall Police that the motorbike rider was struck by the car and the driver then left the scene.

The rider suffered serious injuries and was treated by the ambulance service. Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and anyone with relevant footage.
