Shillong, Oct 30: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today inaugurated the two-day MPOWER Education Conclave 2025, held in collaboration with the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that over the years, different departments in the government have lost focus on their purpose and concentrated more on achieving saturation in schemes.

“As a government, as a Department of Education, as officials, and as teachers, we must focus on the child, for which we are here today. That should be our driving force,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that various programs started by the government, including MPOWER, not only diagnose the issues affecting various stakeholders but also offer solutions.
