There’s one man standing between the Blue Jays and the franchise’s third World Series title. The problem though, is that man is Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Kevin Gausman and Yamamoto will get the start for Game 6 Friday, a repeat of the pitching matchup in Game 2, which the Dodgers won 5-1.

Yamamoto is coming off a nine-inning masterclass, where he struck out eight, only allowing four hits and one run at the Rogers Centre. It was the second start in a row the Japanese sophomore finished what he started, making him the first pitcher since Curt Schilling in 2001 to throw a complete game in back-to-back playoff games.

The pitcher has been tough to touch this playoffs with a 1.57 ERA across his four starts.
