SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The University of Notre Dame says it is investigating a reported rape (as defined by Indiana law) on campus.

According to campus police , the female victim reported she was raped in a restroom inside the Jordan Hall of Science.

Police say the suspect is a male, but no further description was given. Police also say the victim did not know the suspect.

The university says it is reviewing the report and that Notre Dame Police will increase safety patrols.
