CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati woman received the keys to her new home Thursday in Lower Price Hill during a dedication ceremony hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati.
Taleah Mitchell, a single mother of four, said she broke down crying when she learned she would be getting a home after years of having to move every two years.
“I pulled into the parking lot, and he was like, ‘How do you feel about being a homeowner?’ So that’s when I pulled over in the parking lot and I broke down crying because I’m like God is really making it happen,” Mitchell said.
Years of moving
Mitchell said she had to move frequently because her 2-year-old son is autistic and another son has ADHD. Both children stim at certain times of night.
