Bradford James Gille entered the mental health system 28 years ago, after smoking weed he didn't know was laced, he said.
Gille, the suspect charged with one count of terrorism and 11 counts of assualt with intent to murder connected to a stabbing spree at a Walmart near Traverse City on July 26, is now being treated at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Saline.
Gille, 42, spoke with a reporter at Target 8 news over the phone in a video and article published Monday , Oct. 27. The interview was one of Gille's first public appearances since a judge ruled him incompetent to stand trial in August .
Gille said he remembers some of July 26 but not all of it. He said he lashed out to protect what he called his "heavenly children."
