Letter to the editor: End the government shutdown

"Gov. Gianforte continues to urge Senate Democrats to do their job and pass a continuing resolution instead of holding taxpayer dollars hostage that fund these critical programs." The blame game played by Gianforte and other elected officials, is going to cause millions of citizens of the United States to go hungry and/or not be able to afford health insurance. Hungry children have a hard time learning in school and people without insurance will not be able to afford proper and essential health care. Gov. Gianforte should be urging our Montana congressmen to do the right thing to bring an end to the government shutdown, and to take action this week before Nov. 1.
