KALAMA—Henry Sigfridson threw for 182 yards and four touchdowns, Benji Brightbill accounted for three touchdowns and the Chinook defense forced six turnovers as Kalama clinched a playoff berth with a 33-0 shutout over Castle Rock Thursday.
Brightbill scored every time he touched the ball, notching receiving touchdowns of 12 and 21 yards and an 18-yard rushing touchdown.
Reece Achen battled through the flu to notch two sacks and two forced fumbles, leading a Kalama defense that pitched a six-turnover shutout of Castle Rock.
The Chinooks opened the scoring in the first quarter on a 50-yard catch-and-run pass play from Sigfridson to Owen Kushner.
Kalama secured the third of four playoff berths out of the 1A Trico League with the win and will await its Week 10 opponent and game location. C
