PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Halloween weather in Illinois can be highly unpredictable. We've experienced everything from several inches of snowfall to highs in the 80s.

It appears Mother Nature is providing us a not-so-spooky forecast this year. In fact, this is about as "average" as you can get for the final day of October. Most of the state will enjoy a dry and cool day. Areas in far northern Illinois could catch some sprinkles.

Trick-or-treating will begin with temperatures in the middle 50s under partly cloudy skies. We'll see a low chance of a few sprinkles heading into late evening, but overall it will remain dry. A steady light breeze will make temperatures feel a few degrees cooler through the evening.
