The debut trailer for Scream 7 has revealed a heartwarming homage to a beloved character who perished in the iconic 1996 horror film. ‌

The cherished slasher parody first introduced audiences to Neve Campbell's Sydney Prescott, whose high school friends face terror from a masked murderer called Ghostface. ‌

The original Ghostface is revealed to be Sydney's partner Billy Loomis (portrayed by Skeet Ulrich), aided by his deranged mate Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard). ‌

Among their initial casualties is Sydney's closest friend, Tatum Riley (Rose McGowan), who meets a horrific end when crushed by a garage door.

Three decades following the original movie's cinema release, another murderer has adopted the Ghostface identity to pursue Sydney and reporter Gale Weathe
