The medical team of Sparsh Hospital in Bengaluru and Metro Rail (BMRCL) together performed an operation that was no less than a movie scene. The city's lifeline, the Metro, quickly transported a human heart and lungs being taken for transplant on Thursday.
BMRCL issued a statement saying that the team of doctors brought the heart to Goraguntepalya Metro Station at 9:34 AM and delivered it to Banashankari Station at 10:15 AM. During this time, the heart crossed 17 stations in just 41 minutes.
Meanwhile, the lungs were brought to Goraguntepalya Station at 10:05 AM and delivered to Bommasandra Station at 11:13 AM.
