Tonight, as the Indiana Pacers played the Dallas Mavericks, it was supposed to be a routine early-game matchup. Unfortunately, superstar forward Anthony Davis’ night ended as quickly as it began. The big man hit a jumper, but started limping as he went up the court. Afterward, he crouched by the bench and called for a sub, and was taken to the locker room for the checks, leaving fans worried.

After the game, head coach Jason Kidd gave an update on his condition. Kidd, speaking to reporters, said Davis, “ Tried to return. Didn’t want to take any chances. We’ll see how he is going forward .” During the game, the team announced that Davis was facing lower left leg soreness, and he didn’t return for the rest of the game
