SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Shawano County officials have provided an update on the circumstances surrounding the location of a man who was found after being reported missing.

According to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Nathaniel Robinson had last been seen on October 25 in Shawano. The Shawano Police Department investigated it as a missing person case on Tuesday.

Officers continued the investigation on Wednesday, adding that the initial investigation led police to consider an area along the Wolf River near Sturgeon Park as an area of interest.

A drone and airboat search led officers to find Robinson dead in the Wolf River around 3:30 p.m.

Shawano County officials are conducting a joint death investigation with the Shawano Police Department.
