League City officials have deemed the boat ramp on Clear Creek near FM 270 to be near the end of its life cycle, and are seeking state funds to renovate it and make it suitable for all types of boats.

League City City Council voted unanimously to apply for a grant through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, or TPWD, at its Oct. 28 meeting .
If the grant is approved, the renovations would remove silt from the launch area and reinforce the ramp’s deteriorating bulkhead, according to city documents.
