ATLANTA — Air traffic controllers were out at Atlanta's airport on Tuesday voicing their frustration as the first day without a paycheck arrived for them since the government shutdown began.

Members of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association were at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to hand out leaflets urging an end to the shutdown.

One air traffic controller at the airport told 11Alive's Sefenech Henok they've been working six-day weeks, and he chose to spend his one off day demonstrating.

"All the controllers, everybody's financial situation is different, we do have controllers that are living paycheck to paycheck -- where one paycheck they miss and they're hurting ,they're asking for help from families, they're doing other jobs when they're off duty, or they'
