13 events to celebrate Día de los Muertos in the Coachella Valley

Halloween may be the most well-known fall holiday, but arguably the most meaningful one takes place the days after Oct. 31.

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, takes place this weekend, so here's a look at the holiday's importance in Mexican culture, as well as some information about events marking the occasion across the Coachella Valley's nine cities this week.
