A 16-year-old has been charged with shooting and killing two other teens in Pennsylvania earlier this year.

Jamon Brookins of Wilmerding in Allegheny County faces two counts of homicide and one count of robbery in the June incident, said Allegheny County police .

Brookins is being held without bail in the Allegheny County Jail, according to online court records. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 7.

Police said they responded to shots fired on June 26 in Pitcairn.

Tyrant Sutton and Isiah McCarthy, both 16, were taken to a hospital but pronounced dead.

According to WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh , police said in charging documents that Brookins at first denied being involved but later admitted to being at the scene.
