GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An ex-West Allis firefighter accused of trying to kill his wife had his first court hearing Thursday, Oct. 30.

Fifty-three-year-old Guy Paider was given $3 million cash bail for charges of attempted first degree intentional homicide and recklessly endangering safety in a case of domestic violence at his home in Grafton. Prosecutors say Paider's "significantly high amount of assets" contributed to the high bail.

The criminal complaint says Paider's daughter called 911 as he threw her mother to the ground, then carried her into the bedroom where he pulled a gun.
