LINCOLN, Neb. —
Matt Rhule's new contract details the bonus structure for College Football Playoff appearances and his new buyout.
The head coach's eight-year deal is worth $87 million and will extend through Jan. 31, 2033.
According to Rhule's contract, he will earn $8.5 million from Jan. 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2026. The contract will increase almost every year, topping off at $12.5 million in 2030, 2031 and 2032.
