The Algonquin Barons take their show on the road this Saturday when they meet the Confederation Chargers in Sudbury on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the NOSSA football senior football semifinal.
Confederation is unbeaten this season and outscored their opponents by an intimidating total of 258-8 in the teams six game regular season.
However, the final was a struggle as Confederation edged the Lo-Ellen Knights 31-29 to win the Sudbury city title. It was the Chargers first league title in 22 years.
The Barons dropped their opener to the West Ferris Trojans, but star quarterback Dayne Meyer was out with a concussion. Algonquin ran the table from that point and took the title beating West Ferris 22-7 last Friday night.
