The Green Bay School District on Oct. 30 recommended the School Board fire East High School football coach and staff member Kominiko "Niko" Sila after a weeks-long investigation, Sila's friend and president of East High's gridiron club Charlie Brawner told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Brawner went to a meeting between Sila and the district but was told to wait outside.

"I know our students and families are mentally broken, but I'm trying to stay strong," Sila told WBAY , which also reported Sila was recommended for termination.
