GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Local 5 News has acquired a statement from Green Bay East High School football coach Niko Sila, who says school leaders are going to recommend his firing.

Sila spoke with Local 5's Paul Steeno following a meeting with district leaders, stating that the Green Bay Area Public School District's leadership will make the recommendation to the School Board to 'terminate' his employment.

The decision is not final; however, the school board must still vote on the reported recommendation.

Sila was placed on administrative leave earlier in October, with no specific reason given for it; however, a letter to students and faculty dated October 23 stated the following on behalf of Superintendent Vicki Bayer:
