Delaware property tax 'split rates' upheld by judge, new bills coming

A judge has upheld Delaware lawmakers' efforts to reduce school tax bills for residential property owners in New Castle County.

Delaware Chancery Court Vice Chancellor Lori Will issued her opinion on Oct. 30, ruling that school districts and the county can move ahead with plans to issue new tax bills with different tax rates for residential and commercial properties.
