PHILADELPHIA – Former Eagles teammates DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick arrive at their much-anticipated reunion Oct. 30 in very different situations as first-year coaches.
Jackson’s Delaware State Hornets have caused quite a buzz, bringing a 5-3 record to Lincoln Financial Field and being fresh off a 35-26 win at tough North Carolina Central in their MEAC opener.
They have the No. 1 rushing attack nationally at the FCS level.
Contrarily, Norfolk State, with hometown icon Vick at the helm, has had a frustrating fall. The Spartans ’ one win in eight games was over Division II Virginia State, and they were walloped 51-20 by South Carolina State in their MEAC opener. Vick fired his defensive coordinator and other defensive assistants before that loss.
