ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Thursday morning, the Albuquerque Police Department unveiled its Fallen Officer Memorial. The memorial was made to honor the sacrifice of officers and K-9s who lost their lives. Leaders, officers, and members of the community showed up to pay tribute to their loved ones.
APD Chief Harold Medina also revealed a separate memorial for those who died serving the department. "I hope this lays the groundwork for supporting at work. For all the families to always know where they can turn for help, where they can turn for guidance, and that the Albuquerque Police Department truly will never forget," said Chief Medina.
