NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say they have arrested a man after receiving a Cybertip about possible child exploitation, in collaboration with the Gainesville Police Department and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Deputies identified the suspect as 56-year-old Matthew Green, of Newberry.

Deputies searched Green’s house with a warrant and assistance from ASO’s SWAT team.

Green was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography, digital transmission of child pornography, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Deputies say Green also lives very close to Newberry Elementary School, but there is no evidence indicating that he had any physical contact or direct involvement with students in the area.
