WESTWOOD, Mass. —

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to Westwood High School on Wednesday afternoon following an alleged report of a person with a weapon on the school premises.

Westwood police say they were notified around 3:01 p.m. and immediately responded to the campus.

Officers determined the individual, who was "a member of the Westwood High School community," according to school officials, was no longer on the premises.

The individual was eventually found off of school property.

Investigators say the alleged weapon was an unloaded airsoft rifle and that its presence didn't pose a threat to Westwood High School students or staff.
