BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Bentonville woman has been arrested after a dead dog and four cats were found in her apartment last month, according to court documents.
Kelly Knollmann, 57, was arrested on Oct. 26 for five counts of aggravated cruelty to dog, cat or horse and one count of criminal mischief.
A probable cause affidavit said a Bentonville police officer responded to an animal cruelty call on Wheatgrass Boulevard on Sept. 26.
The property manager told BPD she found a dead dog and several cats inside an apartment.
The officer entered the apartment and found the apartment's conditions consistent with long-term neglect and abandonment. He found a small dead dog lying on a blanket, infested with fleas, lice and maggots and other parasites.
