ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged a Richland County man as they continue to investigate two shootings on the South Carolina State University campus earlier this month.
Treveion James Crawford, 18, is charged with carrying a weapon on school property, SLED spokesperson Renée Wunderlich said.
Court documents state a video recorded at 8:33 p.m. on the night of Oct. 4 showed Crawford with a black firearm inside a gray vest he was wearing while he was in the courtyard of Hugine Suites, a South Carolina State housing building.
But the arrest warrant does not directly link Crawford to either of the two shootings that happened on campus that night, which was part of the school’s homecoming weekend.
