CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (WOIO) - Cuyahoga Falls City Council passed a measure this week requiring bypass lanes at drive-thrus, allowing cars to exit lines easily.
The new zoning law comes after 25-year-old Megan Keleman was killed while waiting in a drive-thru line at the Taco Bell on Graham Road in Stow in 2024. A man exited his vehicle, shot and killed Keleman, then killed himself. The two did not know each other.
“If Megan had a way out that day, we believe we would not be here today,” her family said earlier this year about the importance of having bypass lanes at drive-thrus," said Kelly Keleman, Megan’s mom earlier this year.
