SOUTHEAST Mo. (KFVS) - Three upcoming Missouri Department of Conservation events will help people get outdoors to experience the fall season.
The first is a hike at Hawn State Park, located near Farmington. It’s set for 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 1.
Organizers say the 6.5-mile trek will cover challenging terrain, with wet creek crossings, uphill sections and uneven, rocky trails. Hikers will be rewarded with beautiful natural sights.
Transportation is provided from the Cape Girardeau Nature Center, located at 2289 County Park Drive.
Hikers can expect an orientation email prior to the event with itinerary and packing list.
