TOLEDO, Ohio —

Election Day is next week, and Toledo voters will choose their next mayor.

On the ballot, voters will see incumbent Wade Kapszukiewicz and Roberto Torres, who is running as an independent. There is also a third write-in candidate, Harold Harris, who is running as an independent.

Here's what to know about each candidate before you head to your voting location:

Wade Kapszukiewicz

Democratic runner Kapszukiewicz has been Toledo's mayor for the past eight years. He said he wanted to run and continue the progress that's been made during that time.

"We're just in a stronger position than we've been in years, and I want to be able to continue that momentum and provide sort of the stability," Kapszukiewicz said. "Calm, serious leadership that I think Toledo needs."
