COLUMBUS, Ohio — To say the folks at Columbus Dog Connection care about animals is a bit of an understatement.

All you have to do is speak with their Director Mirna Bowman to see why.

"We have a spay neuter clinic. Once a month we have a vaccine clinic. We have a rescue dog and cat program where we rescue animals and then find homes for them," she said.

So, you can imagine their shock when someone contacted them with claims of animal abuse.

Bowman told 10 Investigates someone reached out to the rescue in mid-October with serious concerns about a local dog's safety.

"She contacted us because she was very, very concerned about this dog," she said.

Emails provided by Columbus Dog Connection show that, on Oct. 17, they emailed Columbus Humane to share that woman's concerns.
