DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Minnesota ranks third in the nation for job opportunities, according to a new WalletHub study.

The study compared all 50 states across 34 factors, including job market strength and economic health.

Wallethub says Minnesota scored high because it has the third-highest median household income, at nearly $86,000. It also has the 11th-highest average monthly starting salary, at around $3,800.

“In Minnesota, we are doing our best in the Walz administration, in the business ecosystem, to do what we can so that workers can find business opportunities, to ensure they earn a good wage,” said Matt Varilek, MN DEED Commissioner
