(KBTX) - LSU announced it’s moving on from athletic director Scott Woodward just days after the Tigers fired head football coach Brian Kelly.
Woodward is a Baton Rouge native and an LSU alumnus. He became the Tigers’ athletic director in April 2019, after serving as Texas A&M’s athletic director from 2016 to 2019.
“We thank Scott for the last six years of service as athletic director,” said Scott Ballard, Board of Supervisors Chair, in a statement from the university. “He had a lot of success at LSU, and we wish him nothing but the best in the future. Our focus now is on moving the athletic department forward and best positioning LSU to achieve its full potential.”
