HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WSAV) — In the Lowcountry, agencies who deal with folks in need said they are already feeling the potential cuts to SNAP before they even start.

The Glorious Church of Jesus Christ has held a food bank every week at their location in Hardeeville since 2012. They said they have "never" seen it like this before.

They have already seen a 20-30% jump in families in the last few weeks, each preparing for what they may "not" get from government assistance soon. Each one of those families has 3 or more people in it.

The small church already has tables that are only half full of food, and their surplus pantry won't cover the additional needs.
