CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- With Halloween just a day away, UVA Health’s Blue Ridge Poison Center is helping clear the air about tainted treats and reminding parents to keep a close eye on what their children bring home.
For decades, parents have been warned to check their kids’ candy for things like razor blades or needles. But according to Dr. Chris Holstege, director of the Blue Ridge Poison Center, such incidents are extremely rare.
