RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Inside Truist Place, Richmond Public Schools Superintendent Jason Kamras talked about the school division’s achievements and next steps during his “State of the Schools” address on Thursday night.

Among the crowd in the auditorium was Richmond Mayor Danny Avula and members of the Richmond School Board, who joined dozens of others to listen to the school division’s first “State of the Schools” address since the pandemic.

Superintendent Kamras started his remarks by acknowledging students and their rising SOL scores.
