GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Stanardsville Fire Department said it believes the fire on Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears’ campaign bus was accidental and started from the engine.

The fire started just before noon on Thursday, October 30, on Route 33 in Stanardsville, the department’s Fire Chief said. About half a dozen units from around the area arrived at the scene.

The fire chief said the only person on the bus was the driver and he was not injured.

At this time, they believe the cause was electrical.
