ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) -- The area around 22nd Street South in St. Petersburg, known as the Deuces or Deuces Live, is beginning to see some major developments in housing, event space, and more.
When some people hear of or see new developments, they tend to think it comes at a cost.
"We want to make sure that the progress we see there doesn't push people out," said St. Pete Mayor Ken Welch.
Welch said the vision for the Historic Deuces Corridor is to create affordable and inclusive growth for the community. Thursday, the city held a meeting to update the community on the progress of the projects aiming to revitalize the neighborhood.
