Video above: Suspect denied bond in DUI crash that killed Anderson Co. detective
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- An EMT was fired after reportedly taking a photo of a deputy's body at the Anderson County morgue.
According to leaders with MedShore Ambulance Services, the employee took a photo of Detective Mark Garrett, who was killed in a crash on October 1. He was off-duty at the time of the collision, officials said.
Garrett was a respected member of the sheriff's office. The 56-year-old began his public service career in the fire service and transitioned to law enforcement in 2009.
Greg Shore, CEO of the medical transport company, told 7NEWS they were not aware of the picture at the time it was taken. The employee shared the photo with one her coworkers, prompting an investigation by
