WINNESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa - One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in northeast Iowa.
The State Patrol says it happened around 2:05 pm at the intersection of Highway 52 and Town Line Road. The crash report states a 2016 Chrysler Town & Country minivan was heading south on Highway 52 when a 2001 Mack truck failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The State Patrol says the truck pulled into the intersection and was smashed on the driver's side by the minivan.
The Iowa State Patrol says one of the drivers was killed and the other injured. Their names are not being released pending notification of family.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, Decorah Fire Department, Decorah Police Department, and WinnMed assisted at the scene.
